I have a hard time remembering which way to move the switch to turn the barrel which direction. I use it to do cuticle cleanup, sand down gel and polygel, sand off sets, etch full cover tips, excess gel cleanup…all the things typical of a nail drill. Bought this for my wife and she uses it a lot. I was working on modifying my wife ignition on her 2008 Ford Escape. I had to grind away about 1/8 inch of solid steel and didn’t have a dremmel tool so I thought of this and the carbide bits it come with. Does what it is supposed to do. I’ve been doing my own nails for years and just the last year or so I got into using gels in my natural nails. I originally got this to lightly grind down the top of the gel coat so I can soak and also for the cuticles. I am definitely using as planned tho the cuticle part doesn’t really work on the skin side (maybe it’s not supposed to? Shrug) but works wonders in buffing down the gel coats reducing soak time and making it much easier to strip the nail bare.I actually starting using this to file down my nails too. I emailed the seller and they answered with an offer to replace the drill at no charge! I’ve received the new one and it’s working fine. So, I’m changing my review, at least temporarily, to good. The first one should not have “died” after one use but the company provides a one year warranty.
