Tips are extremely thin. I applied the tips and after applying, one tip broke and I had to reapply a new one. It’s been only 2 days and now my thumb nail has broke off sorting through files. I’m a stay at home mom and know the housework I have been doing wouldn’t cause the breakage. I applied 4 coats of dip powder, and 3 coats of gel polish top coat to go along with my nail besides the chrome powder. I bought these for the simple fact they were clear so I could have endless possibilities to decorate with. Love that they are clear. Not so much they are thin and break easily. After years of nail salon appointments, gel, dip powder and acrylics I decided to give my paper thin nails a break. I actually prefer these over the ones that are not etched on the inside they seem to go on a lot easier and seem to last a lot longer. And honestly I would be getting these over any other ones like I said it’s something about the way they etch them on the inside they just seem to last longer I don’t know if that makes sense or there’s a reason for it but they just last longer than the ones that aren’t etched on the inside I don’t know if it’s a better grip on your nails or it helps a product soak into it and also soak into your nails a lot better but I will be buying these again and for me they’re perfect length I don’t have to cut a lot off of them. Can’t really complain I tried many products this brand is always a little ahead of it’s competitors in the same price range. Also, I tried many other brands from dip powder to other techniques as well and never managed to get them to stay as my nails would come off in a day or two. OMG I love these! They definitely come as long as crack nails so you will need to file them and shape them! As long as you’re not doing a ton of cleaning or laundry and you don’t have to wash your hands every 20 minutes… (I wash my hands a lot for work) these can stay (longevity) on for a week to 10 days. It took me about an hour to an hour and a half to do them, it was my first time. I use the Beatles gel polish as well. But these plastic tips are great for fun occasions or just to make you feel pretty. If you do a lot of stuff with your hands they may only last 2/3 days. Typically if one comes off I just glue it back on you can do that about two times before it doesn’t stick good anymore.
