Since we bought this in late November, which I suggest getting since it was newely half off its retail price of 600 (gotta love black Friday), I have only had to get out the old vacuum once. I was worried that we would have to get it out more than that to get under our cabinets in the kitchen, but that is luckily not a problem. If I see something under there now I just push it to the middle of the floor if I know shark is going to clean that day.So here we go…Pros:-it literally cleans about 95% of your floors. Hair is not a problem, tangling on the roller is not a problem, larger debris is generally not a problem (I had some things here and there get missed the first go around, but I mostly see that it has problems on carpets, which we have mostly hardwood floors so not a big deal).-it m……Read More

I reviewed many vacuums probably over 30 looking for something within a good budget but also has suction power and the ability to do something that I feel like most vacuums don’t seem to do well or if they do it well do it for like crazy price.I was looking for a vacuum that did well on low carpet hardwood floors and didn’t have to do stairs. But the main factor I was focused on was dog hair and small leaves.Anyone who lives in a rural area will understand that dogs come in the house and they bring leaves and dirt on their feet and also dogs especially corgis have a insane amount of small fluff hair that comes off overtime and you don’t always see it.I needed a vacuum that could take care of this small hair without me vacuuming and spending hours trying to find every bit fluff turning aroun……Read More

My Spouse has wanted a robot vac for a while. Saw a great pre-Prime Day sale for this one, read the reviews and ordered one. We’ve had it about 2 weeks and have run it all but perhaps 2 days of that. We get a lot of dust in Central Colorado thanks to our near non-existent humidity and we’re impressed enough with this that it’s now programmed to run daily. It can keep up with that bit of maintenance for us for most of the time and we can do more of the other things we’d rather be doing. Only time will tell how it holds up, but so far we’re pretty happy with it.Very good suction on our all-hardwood main level floor (about 1300 ft) that includes many area rugs, many obstacles, a large black dog shedding randomly everywhere he can, and a central raised front entry area that cuts the vac off f……Read More

12/10/22 Update – So far it has been great. Johnson does occasionally succumb to dementia… Seems to get lost. Twice Johnson just stopped in the middle of the floor for no reason. App said it was “paused”. I attempted to restart which did not work and then selected to send him “home”. He did react to being sent home.. unfortunately he got lost and could not find home. All in all I am really enjoying this. I have cats… while you cannot see pet hair or dust on the floor it is definitely there… just look at the bottom of your feet. I have always worn slippers as I hate dust or hair on the bottom of my feet. With the iRobot… that is in the past. I can actually walk barefoot and have dust and pet free feet!. I run Johnson every morning while I am getting started for the day. N……Read More

The good: I really wanted to give this little guy 5 stars. Because we have a couple of very vulnerable people in our family I dismissed our former cleaning service when COVID came to town and never started them up again. I purchased this bot from Amazon on sale during the pre-Christmas sales. It replaced a cheaper robot, which failed miserably. This robot may not get every single bit of crumb and hair on its first go-around, but it works very well. The routes it creates are logical, making parallel sweeps that align to the walls. It neatly goes around the legs of furniture, returning accurately to the path it was on before it met the obstacle. It does a reasonably good job each time it is run. I found that by running it daily for a few weeks and then 2 or 3 times per week it kept ……Read More

For the first week of ownership, we were disappointed in the robots random movements, but we had read in other reviews that it needs some time to explore and update itself, so we gave it a chance. The more it explored, the more software updates were downloaded, and the more efficiently it performed. Here are the pros and cons of owning this model:PROS:- Software updates that have greatly improved the i3’s capabilities.– Scheduled automatic cleaning is easy to setup in the app.- Unlike the more expensive Roomba models, it works in the dark. Lights off? curtains closed? No problem.- Sucks up a lot of dirt, lint, and hair from our floors. Long hair (we have a lot) collects at the ends of his rollers and is easily removed.- We have 2 steps down from the main level to our family room. It va……Read More

The Eufy Robovac 30 is a wonderful little vacuum! It has far surpassed my expectations. After replacing carpet with dark hardwood floors in most of our 2400 sq. ft. home, I was finding it difficult to keep the dust bunnies at bay. I didn’t know anything about robot vacuums so I went online to do some research. I considered a lot of different brands but what caught my eye about the Robovac 30 was a combination of the positive customer service comments, price, and boundary strips. We have a combination of hardwood, low-medium shag carpet, vinyl, and tile. I was pleased to see that the Eufy Robovac 30 was reported to be effective on all of these surfaces and I have not been disappointed in the Robovac 30’s performance in my home.I was so happy about the effectiveness of my Robovac 30 and……Read More

I purchased this unit to replace a Roomba e6. Summary review – it is far superior. Many of the negative comments are true, but are in comparison to a $600+ Roomba. If you want all those features, reliability, intelligence, etc., then pay $600+. This review is in comparison to a Roomba e6. I paid $300 for the e6 years ago, and paid <$250 for this unit, on sale.Compared to Roomba e6 :- Far better coverage. It maps as it goes, so it tries to cover as much as possible without repeating. It can do most of 1300 sq ft house in a pass. The e6 could barely cover one room with it’s brain-dead bouncing around. It does not memorize the map for use in the next pass (unlike a top-end model). It will sometimes miss a room, but next pass it might get that room but miss something else. Not ideal, but far sup……Read More

The cleaning functions of this robot are actually quite good — I have 2 pets at home that shed a lot in the summer, and the vacuum function clears the vast majority of the debris from the floor. The mopping function is similarly great, and does a really good job making the floor sparkling clean. I also have a manual Bissell SpinWave mop, and think that the performance of the robot in terms of mopping is close to par with the manual mop. I also really like the fact that the robot has replaceable / reusable parts. However, navigation is somewhat of a problem. If you have a perfectly rectangular space, this thing would probably work great for you. If, like me, you have a space composed of multiple distinct areas with some odd corners here and there, you may have to babysit the robot a li……Read More

I was SO reluctant to try this technology, but a Cyber Monday deal made me finally take the leap, and I am so happy I did!!! After one mapping run, the vacuum had my whole downstairs mapped perfectly! I was very surprised at this give that we have a lot of square footage & rooms. It did take all day to map it though. Afterwards, it took only 5 minutes on the app to move room dividers & label the rooms, and the next day she started cleaning at a set time exactly where I asked based on a schedule I set up. It was flawless! A couple of very important notes to help others: 1. The day of your mapping run the vacuum does NOT clean, therefore it is quieter & you won’t see anything in the dust bin! 2. Your vacuum is afraid of the dark! You need to turn on lights (if it is dark) in rooms &……Read More

I have had a Roomba for a while and broke on me so I needed a new one. After trying this out for a few days, I can confidently say this is BETTER than a Roomba! TL;DR: This robot vacuum is awesome and worth every penny. Highly recommend this vacuum to everyone, my wife agrees! Happy wife, happy life! Might buy another for my upstairs. For a robot vacuum, it does what I expect and makes my life easier. I don’t make it pick up large debris, robot vacuums seem to perform best with small debris. Large debris may get stuck or caught. Lidar works phenomenal, but with some hiccups when mapping house (mostly human error). Routing around obstacles works well, slows around objects and if anything is bumped it’s so light and cushioned, it’s not a problem. 5 stars overall. 4 stars deep cleaning and suction leaving room for improvement, it’s a robot vacuum, what do you expect? Probably has Alexa integration, but I use Google assistant and it works great!—I o……Read More

This was a Christmas present for myself, and it’s been amazing. I got it on Black Friday, so I can’t complain about the price I got it for, but it has really proved itself in a short amount of time.1. We had vacuumed the day before this came in the mail, we got it all set up and let it go. It took about 1.5 hours for the first time and it filled the entire receptacle. We were impressed to say the least. (A little disappointed in ourselves and our own vacuuming abilities.)We named ours Harold.2. We have cats, and at first they were extremely hesitant about this new thing in our home. But after a few days, and him doing a really good job of avoiding them, and being super quiet. They are okay with him. And it’s really amazing how well he avoids running into things, or stops after bumping into……Read More

1 month Update:So, I’ve owned this little robot (we named him “Rocky”) for 1 month now. A few observations:- The app is awesome. It gives you a notification when he starts up every day and you can watch him as he cleans the house. I’ve only noticed a couple bugs. First, when I was trying to show him off to some relatives over dinner one evening, I realized we had had the bedroom door closed that day so he didn’t clean our bedroom. So, I set up a zone cleanup for our bedroom. He started up, backed away from the dock, did a few circles for a few minutes and finally just went back to the dock. I tried several times all with the same result. I tried a different zone in the house and he cleaned that just fine but he absolutely refused to go to the bedroom. I think perhaps since he couldn’t get ……Read More

My son always says, “You get what you pay for.” In other words, if you pay less for something, you get less. This could be less in terms of features or less durability or less tech support or shorter warranty period, etc. Well, my recent experience with robot vacuums disproves his theory.Bad Choice Purchase. Recently, I purchased a name brand, top-of-the-line robot vacuum for over $1000 including discounts. On paper, it sounded perfect and included vSLAM mapping technology (I was not yet aware of lidar mapping), and a completely separate mopping unit. After attempting to use it for a couple of weeks, I returned it.It did a lousy job of mapping and the mapping took days, and it never did a complete job. Some areas of the house were skipped and I found it impossible to force it to map……Read More

This product is amazing. Seriously. I have a 1000 sqft apartment with many rooms and differing floors types and both the S9 vacuum as well as the M6 mop perform excellently.I’m a big fan of IoT (lighting, security, climate control, device handoff, sound systems, etc) and automation in general and just had to try this duo. I’ll start with the S9, then the M6, and then review of the app.The S9 has incredible suction power which can be adjusted depending on your needs. It knows what surface it’s on and adjusts accordingly. It’s very intelligent at getting out of corners, under furniture, over small cables. The mapping capabilities are excellent, with some kinks to we worked out on the app side. More on that later. If it can’t finish and area with the charge it has, it will go back home to cha……Read More

One month ownership update: Dropped a star because of bad navigation and half baked TrueDetect.More on Navigation/TrueDetect: It is simply not worth the extra cost over the N8 Plus. It will not work if the object is not directly in front of the sensor. For example, the N8 Pro was trying to navigate in between my couch and the coffee table in a space with a width of about 3 feet. About 8 inches from the couch my cat had thrown up, providing the perfect test for TrueDetect. Unfortunately, it never detected it and if I wasn’t monitoring it, it would have rolled right over it making an even bigger mess. I tried other more systematic tests near the couch using cat toys. Whenever the cat toy was directly in the front of the sensor (about 5 inches from the edge of the couch), the N8 plus would av……Read More

VERY VERY happy with this robot! One of the few that still offers a remote! (When wi-fi, app, electricity, etc is down or other issues, the remote comes in extremely handy)!!Unfortunately when I purchased my first T10, the app was facing a serious issue. It was completely DOWN. My robot didn’t work for 3+ weeks! And their district in China was on COVID shutdown… Not easy for any business! After MULTIPLE conversations with support, the app issue wasn’t resolved & I wasnt informed it would be up and running within the week, I returned it just days before the app was fixed!!They sent me a new one and asked me to try again and EVERYTHING HAS BEEN AWESOME since the first day, we’re in day 39 now!I NEVER would’ve sent it back if not for the app, especially since I loved this robot! It has so many ……Read More

We got this guy for a early black Friday deal. We are a poor house unit and usually can’t afford higher end items like this. When this robo vaccum was on sale, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to get one.For context, I’m chronically disabled and my partner is autistic. Cleaning has always been difficult, especially the floors. As disgusting as it is, we just sort of let the floor get bad. Hairs and debree got stuck, and our mop wasn’t the best. We did sweep occasionally, but we are busy and have to go to my appointment, so there wasn’t much we could do to handle the filth.Because homes usually get worse during the holidays because you are staying in more, I got a vaccum that wasn’t a robot vacuum to help. However, we needed a mop, and our current mop wasn’t very good. Because of t……Read More

I’ve had this for a month, use at least twice per week. The technology in my shark ion is better, not sure why since they are both shark. This vacMOP does not detect magnet strips as barriers to keep it out of certain areas, for example the Christmas tree. I can not get carpet detection to work on mop mode and with the magnetic strips not working to block it, I end up placing items like curtain rods along rugs to stop it from mopping my rugs. It’s just not the smartest. It doesn’t find it’s dock sometimes. If the battery is low it doesn’t dock itself, it just goes until it dies and stops in the middle of the room. I will click dock when it is right next to the dock and it runs around the whole room looking for the dock. If I try to send it to clean a specific room from the app, it doesn’t ……Read More

Overall: For fur-shedding pet owners – This is a great option to keep the day-to-day fur buildup under control, but does not substitute for “deep cleaning”, and does require removing excess fur buildup on the brushes and rollers every 3-5 days.Let me set the stage: We have two long-haired golden retrievers and they shed a massive amount of fur. We have a mix of hardwood and carpets and if we don’t vacuum for a few days we start getting “fur-tumbleweeds.” We thought we would give this Shark Robot vacuum a try and overall I am very pleased with it.The AI technology is very impressive. It mapped out our 2,200 sq ft single story home in about 25 minutes and didn’t even need to run around all of the edges in the space to map out details like island counters, couches, table legs, etc. Since then……Read More

Also, I really like that it runs in straight lines instead of moving randomly like other robot vacuums. Because of this, I feel like it gets a more thorough clean without missing any spots. It has no problem going under the couch or any beds, which is great since those aren’t usually places that I clean myself. Since I have a very open concept home I didn’t think the mapping feature that some more expensive vaccines have was necessary. All in all it’s perfect for my two bedroom apartment!heir support is very good as well. The mop feature doesn’t work with any kind of cleaning solution, so it’s basically a hot water wipe for your floors. This isn’t exactly ideal, I would really like to see them come up with a version that lets you use a cleaner of some sort, but for a daily or semi-daily rou……Read More

I own a Roomba to help with minor vacuuming around the house. It does a pretty good job of picking up small things from carpets, tiles, and laminated wood flooring, though it is not as perfect. One of the features we like is what iRobot, the Roomba’s maker, pioneered: the visual mapping of the cleaning areas so you can see what parts of the house it covered or did not cover. Roomba probably is THE market leader in robotic vacuums, and with that comes its high price tag. Additionally, the Roomba 980 we have is LOUD (more on that later), sometimes waking up our infant from her naps.Wife gave me a mandate. Look for another robot vacuum that we could have running daily that is not as noisy, and use the Roomba for deeper cleaning. We also needed one that could empty its dust collector a few tim……Read More
