Excellent purchase if you focus on suction power (WOW!), lightweight, easy to assemble and great price. I’ve used this for a few months now, so I can give a fair review since I use it often (litter box crumbs, bird seed, cat & dog hair). This picks up even litter box crumbs and bird seed off my hardwoods and easily transitions to my thick rugs & carpet. The large dust/dirt canister comes apart fully, so it’s easy to clean and can be washed. Really appreciate that!! Only concern to be aware of: when the motor is running but the handle is in the upright position, the beater bar continues to spin. They say don’t buy your wife anything with a cord, but if she asks for a vacuum, who am I to say no based on what “they” say? She loves it. I find it to be okay, but I had some notes maybe that might help you:1. It’s a bit top heavy. It locks in a vertical position, but if it gets bumped and it’s not up against a wall or something, it’s going to fall.2. It’s lightweight overall but someone with hand pain might find it to be a bit too heavy with most of the weight being around the handle.3. My wife swears it has three power settings, but I only find two–low and high. They switch fine–low, high, and off.4. So far so good for the price. I had purchased a Bissell about 2 years ago and had liked it, then it broke within a year, thinking it was just bad luck or a fluke I purchased the same exact one again and again in about 10 months it broke with almost the same issue as the first one so I swore off Bissell. I remembered my mother having the same dirt devil for many years so figured I’d give them a shot. It’s very lightweight for the size, suction is good, easy to clean. I like that the hose and cord are both pretty long. As long as it lasts me more than a year I’ll certainly be happy. This is the second one I’ve bought because I have never had a better vacuum. I have a Golden Retriever and cats and this thing makes my house look like I have no pets. (For exactly 10 seconds until the dog sneezes or shakes or walks…) but this thing picks up hair like a champ. My previous vacuum short circuited so I was looking for a replacement that wouldn’t break the budget but would do the job well.This vacuum was easy to assemble. I assembled in less than 10 minutes. It’s lightweight without feeling flimsy. You’d think having a place to wrap a cord is a given but my last vacuum did not have the hooks in the back to wrap the cord. This one has it. Also the cord is a good length and was able to be plugged in in one room and do the hallway outside that room plus reach a good ways into the next room.Best thing was the suction. I bought this for my 65+ yr old mom because its lightweight, looks a lot like the Dyson stick, and had a much bigger motor than the Dirt Devil stick and the bigger Eureka stick. Here’s what my mom had to say…”Pretty good sweeper overall. Easy assembly, works really well picking up cat hair in carpet, easy to empty dirt container & gets under things great…”…”Not so good with the bristles out to sweep. I just received this vacuum and so far so good.Pros:I love how the base can maneuver to get in every place I need it to. It is very lightweight. So lightweight in fact that I don’t even feel like I am vacuuming. The light on the base helps me see all the dirt that I can’t even see with just the lights on. I also love that it is cordless. So let me start off by saying I would definitely give it 5 starts, but decided to give it 4 as it is dead dead. I bought this vacuum back in July for our camper up on our hunting lease. I used it maybe 3-4 times and it was amazing and I loved it. Now recently we lost power to just the outlet the vacuum was plugged in at and the vacuum is now dead dead.
